Our general terms of reference
Network-ie is committed to the use of 'everyday' language where possible to
ensure that all agreements are easily understood and have no 'small print'.
General Terms
The words we, us and our mean Network-ie Ltd.
The words you, your and yours refer to you as our Customer who enters in an agreement with us.
Acceptance Date: means the date notified to you by us on which the
required service is ready for use by you.
Access Circuit: means any telecommunications link and any equipment we
provide you with to enable you to connect your service to a Wide Area Network
e.g. the Internet or other sites.
Business Hours: means Monday to Friday between the hours of
9.00 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. excluding Public Holidays.
Customer Equipment: means all electrical and electronic equipment including
mains electrical power and appropriate storage, systems software, cabling and any
other equipment owned by you in relation with the service.
Initial Period: means one year from the Acceptance Date for each service.
Internet Protocol: (IP) means our IP addresses allocated to you under
our agreement, which you must stop using and release and return upon
termination of our agreement.
LAN: means local area network, e.g. an office network.
Planned Outage: means an interruption in the service relating to notified
maintenance, upgrades or other planned activities or alterations.
Quarter: means a three-month period commencing on 1 January, 1 April,
1 July, or 1 October in any year.
RIPE: Réseaux IP Européens - Internet registry for the region.
Schedule: means a schedule to our agreement and which form an integral
part of our agreement with you.
Service: means those services as defined above.
Service Equipment: means routing equipment, cables and telecommunications
equipment for the provision of our service.
Service Outage: means a complete interruption of service due to the direct
result of a fault, degradation or impairing of our infrastructure but does not include
any Planned Outage or problem with any equipment or infrastructure not owned by us.
WAN: means wide area network e.g. the Internet or City2Ctiy connectivity.
